Apple has launched a new service program to fix the rear camera problem detected in some iPhone 14 Plus models. iPhone 14 Plus models manufactured between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024 had a problem with the rear camera not displaying the preview image.
Apple announced that the problem is hardware and will be solved by offering free repair service. iPhone 14 Plus users will be able to verify whether their devices are covered by this program by entering the serial number of their devices on the Apple support page.
Accordingly, the camera problem on devices eligible for the repair program will be repaired free of charge by Apple or authorized service providers. Users who have previously paid for repairs due to the problem will also be able to request a refund.
The service program covers all iPhone 14 Plus devices for three years from the date of first sale. This reflects Apple’s recent service initiatives to address issues with its iPhone and AirPods models. The company is providing free support to all affected users.
This issue actually caused major problems for iPhone 14 Plus users. The lack of camera preview made it difficult to take photos and videos.
